Sup guys,

Not going to try to make this too long, just give a quick update on some random stuff around here. Starting with poker, I really fell off the map completely in February to the point of playing so bad I felt that I just felt that the best thing for me to do was to just stop cold turkey completely for a little bit. I ended up stopping on a Wednesday night and didn't play any until last night, which gave me like a 4-5 day nice little mental break from the game. I just found myself taking so many bad lines to people's approaches where I would basically be giving into their bluff catchers and trying to push people off hands that normally they were never going to be folding in the first place, as well as the fact that I probably found myself playing a lot of hands weaker than I could normally find myself playing, and it is because of this that it would make perfect sense to any casual player that it's just time to stop at all costs before any more damage can be done.

I told you guys before in my blog that I started out being accustomed to playing very solid poker for 2-3 weeks straight and then taking off a few days or even for the remainder of the month if I was already satisfied with my progress in beating the games. Well, this month I'm going to try to rekindle some of that feeling where not only do I feel a sense of urgency to win $ but to use the time that I do play to play less and more focused at the same time, hopefully proving to myself once again that I don't have to play 10,000's of hands to make a profit when it just purely takes more focus in fewer hands to reach the same goals. I would definitely feel a lot better about myself if I make more $ from the focus of grinding rather than the amount of rake I pay throughout an entire month (although it can prove to be a steady income if you play a lot of hours every week).

Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary has really happened around here lately except for a pretty big snow storm on Thursday into Friday hit us, the windiest storm all year which gave us basically as much total snow in February than 3 average winters total. I did get to see my former highschool team play for the 2nd time this year this weekend when they were in their 2nd game of their district playoffs. They ended up beating the team that had originally won their league among smaller schools to advance to the next round. I still like going to the games sometimes because I'm familiar with every coach of the 5 they have and the one used to be my best friend throughout highschool who is now a local teacher.

Anyways, I played my first time in what felt like forever yesterday (since I'm not used to taking more than a day or 2 break from playing), and had really good results over the few hands I played. I'm going to keep trying to keep this little momentum I got rolling until about 2 weeks when I take a few days to head up to Cleveland to see a buddy of mine that also plays poker a lot who I got to meet for the first time last summer. Should be a good time because I'm doing it right around St. Patty's day when he likes going a bit over the top when he heads out with his friends.

ya i use to go to my old highschool and watch 1 or 2 games a year for a few years but it just got depressing how bad my school was becoming in athletics after my class left. we were probably the best when i was a junior because the class above me had a bunch of athletes and then me as well. for instance the guy in the class before me won mvp of the league in football and i came in 3rd my junior year (he was my QB) so we had 2 of the top 3 players in the division that year. after i left there were maybe 2-3 guys left that had any skill at all so there was a pretty good drop off after i left and then it just went to shit after the few guys after me left. we went from winning basketball/football/baseball on a consistent basis to i dont even think they've made the playoffs in ANYTHING since like 2003(i graduated in 2001)

it sucks to see my school doing so shitty now but the school turned into a shithole anyways because they accepted the government grants and shit so now have a bunch of lil punks in the school with no clue how to act. there is a reason why we had ex professional athletes coaching when i was there and now the principal has to coach them on the side now.

end rant

lol how small of a school must it be that the pricipal himself can be the only coach they can get? Didn't you say your school was like single A or MAYBE double A at biggest? There's some schools around here that I know of that have about 60 kids in their class which means if 10 are needed for basketball then just about makes the team lol.
