I am a fairly poor heads up player, which I recognize. I think I overvalue hands quite a bit, like this one. Is this a fold when he shoves here, or is top pair no kicker ok to stack off with?

Folding top pair heads up is pretty tough when it gets down to HU, that being said, it totally depends on your oponent, literally. If you think you're oponent is the type that will try to get value from his top pair and better kickers only when going all in, then it's a fold. If it's one of those players who you just KNOW are the ones likely to shove random draws or 2nd or bottom pairs with decent kickers then it's a call.
That being said, you have to ask yourself if you think your tournament life is worth losing this pot here going broke with top pair/weak kicker. |

Oh, and this wasn't without reads. Earlier I had taken a note that he raised J10o utg when we were 9 handed at FT. So with that read, I was never putting him on QJ heads up limping like that.

you can/should probably fold here being as deep as you are and the board seems kinda dry for draws that he could be shoving. i mean im not gonna criticize you for calling off with top pair but its def possible to fold here 20 bbs+ deep.
if you feel you can outplay the person and will still have a good stack then you should fold here. if you feel you're evenly matched skillwise or the person might be better than you and you need a dbl up to have a chance to win it then call off here. it really just depends on how you feel the mtt is going tho bro |

Yeah without any reads here you kinda have to assume your 4 is not good enough

I would have laid it down not only your kicker wasn't that good even though he just limped in. He could have top 2 pair as well. I would have folded and just wait on any pocket pair if he raised i would reraise and hope for the best. With 20 big blind bets you still have enough play in you.
